WDS PARENT
Preparation for a parent or guardian who wants to provide informed and effective support to a young driver.
Explore the workshopPassing the driving test does not mean that a young driver is fully prepared for every situation they may encounter on the road. The first few months behind the wheel are a crucial period for gaining experience, developing good habits and learning how to make responsible decisions.
A parent or guardian can play a very important role during this time. To provide effective support, they should know how to observe the young driver, communicate feedback and gradually increase the difficulty of subsequent journeys.
WDS workshops combine the knowledge and experience of a Driving Instructor and an Advanced Driving Instructor. Their purpose is to prepare the whole family for a safe transition from driving with an instructor to increasingly independent driving.

Enquire about the shared workshopThe purpose of the workshops is not to turn a parent into a driving instructor. Their aim is to combine the parent’s experience with the instructor’s professional knowledge and create a calm, structured and safe system of support for the young driver.
The programme can be tailored to the participants’ age, experience, current skills and individual needs.
