WARSAW DRIVING SCHOOL is the first driving school dedicated to foreigners. We offer classes in the English, German, Polish and Ukrainian languages. Our instructors have many years of experience teaching and examining candidates for drivers. At our school, the instructors gain new qualifications by taking part in regular training sessions. They specialise not only in courses for people wanting to obtain a driving licence, but also the drivers eager to improve their driving skills. Our staff has professional pedagogical background and licences of driving instructors and improving driving techniques instructors. After finishing the course at WARSAW DRIVING SCHOOL, candidates may take a national practical exam using the same car on which they were practising their
driving skills.

The massive difference with us is that we will tailor a course that suits your needs and not those of the company.

This means that if you want to spread the hours of your course over a longer period, we can do that for you. Also, if you need a few extra hours because you feel stressed out before the exam, we will do our best to get them for you.

HOW TO START:

Requirements for foreigners

A driving course may be started by a person who stays on the territory of the Republic of Poland for at least 185 days in each calendar year due to their personal or professional ties, or who will present a certificate that they have been studying in Poland for at least six months. Additionally, to participate in the course, it will be necessary to obtain a “Driver Candidate’s Profile” (PKK).

If we have all of the above information, the next step is to go with the above- mentioned documents to the Motor Vehicle Department (Wydział Komunikacji) in theCity/District Hall appropriate for your place of residence.

To obtain the PKK you will need:

  • a Polish/EU ID card or passport of the country of origin
  • residence card/residence visa or another document that confirms that you have been staying on the territory of Poland for more than 185 days
  • one driving license/ID/residence card-type photograph
  • a certificate of no contraindications to driving issued by an occupational medicine doctor
  • written consent of a parent/legal guardian in the case of people under 18 years of age

When can I start a course?

You can sign up for the course 3 months before the age required for a given driving license category. In this case, it is 17 years and 9 months of age.

What is the PKK and how to obtain it?

The PKK is an electronic document which contains a unique number and information identifying the person applying for the issuance of a document confirming the right to drive vehicles (Driving License). This document is generated in the system by the Motor Vehicles Department (Wydział Komunikacji) of the City/District Hall

STATE EXAM

The state theoretical exam can be taken in English at no extra charge. At the exam, you have 32 single-choice questions randomly selected from a database of questions. You can get a maximum of 74 points but you need 68 to pass the test. If you want to take the practical exam in English, a sworn translator must be present at the exam. This comes with an additional cost. If necessary, we will provide you with the contact details of a sworn translator.

THEORETICAL COURSE

We are flexible… 

If you want to finish the course quickly then you can take a theoretical part in the form of e-learning. All you need is internet access and a computer, or even a smartphone. It is very important to practice for the tests you will have at the exam. You can get naccess to e-learning and tests for your driving exam today! You can start preparing for the exam right away.

Also, it is possible to arrange individual theoretical lessons for you with the instructor.

You will get a book and CD (or code to an online platform) included in the price.

PRACTICAL COURSE

The standard course consists of 30 hours of driving lessons on a manual gearbox car. If you prefer a car with an automatic transmission, of course, we can provide you with one. However, you need to know that once you have passed your driving test on this type of car, you will be allowed to drive only a car with an automatic gearbox.

My trainer Krystian provided me with excellent learning opportunities. He gave me excellent instruction, and more importantly, he made me drive during various work hours so that I wouldn't be hesitant to do so at rush hour. I originally signed up for a regular course, but after seeing that the training was significantly superior, I decided to add extra 10 hours to refresh my driving skills. He covered the following topics in training steering control. 2: Brake and clutch applications. 3. Driving abilities. 4: Parallel parking and parking in reverse. 5: There are many uses for mirrors; I've only mentioned a handful. He is ideal for training, thank you.

For the first time in Poland, I had such friendly assistance. WDS was present at every stage of the beginning driving training, as well as PKK WDS. I passed my national exam in the same automatic gearbox car that I had driven on the driving course. Exam was first-time passed with little stress. I would recommend this school to anyone planning to get Polish driving license. The biggest advantage is that the school is located just opposite from the exam center so you are learning on actual exam course effectively which helped me to add confidence on the practical exam day. The theoretical exam preparation was very helpful and efficiently organized. Krystian and all other instructors speak good English, instruction was clear and practical. The school also helped me with documents and exam booking which can be tricky for non-Polish speakers. Booking a lesson was always smooth and flexible too. I’m very glad that my friend recommended me to this school. If you are looking for a driving school, go for this school 🙂
